Crypto is pretty complicated to learn

I know...I did it several years ago

There's the blockchain technology, and all these new terms you hear, like wallets, self-custody, issuance policy, Layer 1, and bridges. Then there's investment theses, security, regulation and compliance for you as a financial professional.

Who can you trust?

On top of learning the tech and financial aspects, you can't be sure whom you can trust. Not everyone with a blog or YouTube channel (or worse...TikTok) knows what they're talking about. Even fewer understand our industry.

I'm here to give you some hope

(don't I look trustworthy?)

Since I'm also a financial advisor who sees the possibilities in crypto, DeFi, blockchain, and Web 3.

I already went down the crypto rabbit hole years ago

I sifted through white papers, YouTube channels, webinars, etc., and learned all I could about crypto.  I came at it from my years as a CFP® and RIA owner.

I also made mistakes along the way, which I don't want you to make.  I tried trading crypto.  I got greedy and lost money speculating, and I got hacked, and I even fell for a couple phishing scams.  Not my proudest moments.

So...let us teach you!

(more drawing...look how happy)

You need more convincing?

We've had a YouTube channel for crypto explanations since mid-2019.  over 11,000 subscribers.

We launched our course for financial professionals in 2020, and have taught hundreds of advisors.

We also created the Certified Digital Asset Advisor designation

Which now has members on 4 continents

Once you've completed this course, you're eligible to be a CDAA!

We did most of the heavy lifting

so we can take you the last mile

I know...mixing metaphors.

Our course to take you from virtually no crypto knowledge to a well-versed user is built for you, the financial professional.  The goals is to help you make crypto a part of your practice.

You'll learn the technology, investment theses, and client conversations.  We mix on-demand videos with live Q&A sessions and then we have you actually use crypto.

We broke the 12-hour course into 6 modules:

  • Bitcoin and Blockchain

Learn the basics of the original cryptocurrency and blockchain, along with investment theses.

  • Ethereum

The second largest by market cap, and the network that started Decentralized Finance.

  • Custody, Wallets, Exchanges

Maybe the most important lessons to keep client assets secure, and understand where the tech is going.

  • Decentralized Finance

DeFi takes so many of the concepts and products you're familiar with, and opens them up to more participants. Eye-opening!

  • Use Cases - NFTs, DAOs, Yield

The use cases will be far beyond the hype you've already seen. New business models, organizations, and ways to hold assets.

  • Crypto in Your Practice

Learn about your possible business models, partners, research, and ways to add crypto to your practice.

We know its a significant investment

Your time and money

I spent countless hours and lost plenty of money, so I wanted t make your journey shorter and safer...and more relevant. So, sign up for the opportunity to learn crypto from a CFP®, in a course built specifically for you.

What advisors are saying about the CDAA

CDAA is a must for advisors!

Travis Gatzemeier, Kinetix Financial Planning

The CDAA course is a must for advisors who want to have educated conversations with clients and make digital assets a part of their practice. You will gain an understanding of both the technical and practical side through structured lessons, on-demand content, a resource library, and weekly live discussions.

I give this course my highest recommendation as an advisor

Matthew Foust, Columbia Advisory Partners

I cannot believe how taking this class has opened my eyes, and I am so incredibly thankful I am now on the cutting edge of the coming digital asset wave. Adam Blumberg has done an amazing job explaining what digital assets are, from the original Bitcoin Whitepaper to decentralized finance tokens. We actually started out on a whiteboard learning what blockchain technology is, moved through digital currency, and studied what investment vehicles we will be using as advisors in the future. All easily understood and clearly explained by Adam. I give this course my highest recommendation as an advisor, and will proudly use my CDAA certification in my business."

CDAA made be the go-to crypto person for clients

Jeremy Russell, Columbia Advisory Partners

"I have been a financial advisor for a long time and over the years have had more and more clients ask about crypto and Digital assets. I spent a significant amount of time looking for a course or certification to provide me the knowledge I need to have productive conversation with clients and the CDAA was the only one I felt comfortable trying out. I have gone from very little knowledge of the crypto world to the “go-to” person for clients, family, and friends.”

Nobody is teaching applicable digital asset education for advisors better than Adam

Treyton DeVore, AllStreet Wealth

Nobody is teaching applicable digital asset education for advisors better than Adam. His experience as an advisor and knowledge around digital assets gives him a unique perspective, and an advantage compared to other educators. This course is a MUST for any advisor wanting to learn how to build crypto offerings into their practice and even if you never plan to advise on it, the information and perspectives you’ll gain far outweigh the cost. Being educated around digital assets isn’t a “good to know” thing anymore, it’s part of our fiduciary responsibility.

The CDAA builds a baseline for cryptocurrencies and blockchain

Andrew Zaro, Granite Wealth Management

I enrolled the CDAA course in order to build a foundational baseline for myself on cryptocurrencies and blockchain. It was easily accomplishable inside my work week. I did not feel I had to give less than desired attention to either my clients or RIA. The CDAA cemented the basics of blockchain and cryptocurrency which facilitate one’s ability to further explore cryptocurrencies and blockchains. It established a great framework on client interaction: education, advisement, management - which is the perfect approach for me in enveloping crypto conversations into my practice over time. Currently, I only educate my clients, though intend to add crypto advisory services when the time is appropriate down the line.

FAQ

  • Who is this course for?

This course is for financial professionals. That means anyone who helps someone else with their money - Financial Advisors, CPAs, Bankers, Attorneys

  • Who shouldn't take this course?

If you want to learn to trade crypto, speculate, or try to get 200% yields for yourself, this isn't really for you.

  • Can I take it if I'm not a CFP®, or I'm new to financial services?

Of course. We don't really turn anyone away. Even if you have another business model in mind, we'll teach you how to walk through client conversations.

  • How is this different from learning on YouTube?

First, you can't trust everything you see on YouTube. Second, those creators aren't making videos specifically for financial professionals to add crypto to their practice. Third, you can get a designation to show clients, and you get CE credits.

  • How is this different from other courses for financial advisors?

We combine whiteboard videos with live sessions, and we update our content regularly. Kind of important when it comes to crypto. Also, you can get the CDAA designation.

  • What is better about the CDAA?

You can go to Certifieddigital.org to learn more about the Certified Digital Asset Advisor designation, and what separates it from other crypto certifications.

  • My firm won't let me advise on crypto.

That's not a question...but there are probably other assets you can't advise on, but your clients invest in. You should still know enough to have conversations. Also, at some point you will be able to advise on crypto, so better to learn now.
